Job Summary:
We are looking for a diligent and hardworking Houseman to join our team. The Houseman will assist in maintaining a clean and organized environment throughout the hotel, ensuring that all public areas and guest rooms meet Napa Suites’ and New Hotel’s standards of cleanliness and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in all work areas, including hallways, public spaces, and housekeeping closets.
- Check and replenish supplies in public toilets hourly to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Assist Room Attendants in preparing guest rooms efficiently.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels in housekeeping closets and storage areas.
- Support the maintenance team with daily tasks, including simple maintenance duties.
- Adhere to all housekeeping and health and safety standards and procedures.
- Ensure hotel operation is smoothly maintained by performing additional tasks as required.
- Work quietly and efficiently, minimizing disruption to guests, especially during busy periods (e.g., no vacuuming in high-traffic areas).
- Perform other related duties as assigned to contribute to the efficient operation of the hotel.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial work is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to perform light maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Friendly and professional attitude with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work quietly and efficiently without causing disturbance to guests.
